Day 11 - Grand Canyon to Las Vegas - 281 miles

Up at 4.30am to see sunrise over the canyon, definitely worth it but it was freezing.

After warming up we set off to Vegas, on route is the Hoover Dam, will someone please tell Net, I don't like heights ๐Ÿ˜“

I was glad to see this wasn't so bad but what a sight.

Onto Vegas, we had been warned the traffic could be bad, it certainly was. Thanks to sat nav we found the hotel and car park.
Got checked in went out to experience "the strip", first impression was a glammed up Blackpool but we decided to go with the flow.

Temperatures had reached 102 degrees so walking about was not comfortable, beer was required ๐Ÿบ

Went into the Venetian hotel as Net wanted to see the gondoliers. I can't describe it as a hotel it's more like the trafford centre meets Disney meets the Hilton, but on a bigger and better scale.

Had a lovely Italian meal in a replica of St Marks square.

Full from the pasta we decided dessert was a trip on a gondola. Enzo our gondolier sang Amore and Just one Cornetto while he paddled. Corny - yes, Expensive - yes, Worth it - definitely

Finished the evening back in our hotel and a few attempts on the slots. No idea what we were doing so just added funds to the local good causes ๐Ÿ˜œ
