TEXAS !

Yes it really is that BIG ! The sky is all around, I have never seen a landscape quite like it.

Net drove us into Texas.

A few unforeseen detours today but made the motel/hotel in good time.

Staying in the big Texan motel tonight next to the big Texan steak house. Their infamous 72 ounce steak is free if you can eat within a hour, it would do me for a week.

Todays song - Is this the way Amarillo ( it had to be and I had great fun in keep asking Net, "Is this the way").

Invented a new game, Roadkill bingo, Armadillos are winning currently closely followed by raccoons. Seen a variety of many other critters on route unfortunately including a dog and a beaver.

Today made me think of my dads love of cowboy books, tv programmes and movies. Longhorn cattle, guys in stetsons and gals in boots.

Met a lovely family called the Simpson's in the restaurant, been to 2 Springfields and no Simpson's, get to Texas and here they are. John and his family moving to California, we wish them all the best on their travels and hope they enjoy their new home.
